Congratulations to all CCGA club members that signed up to play in our annual NCGA Zone Qualifier.  We had 22 players sign up to compete in our two-man team 1 best ball tournament to establish a 4 man team to go on to compete  in the northern zone qualifier representing Churn Creek.  The weather was less than I deal and the course after a lot of rain was a challenge to say the least.  We had three players drop out due to being  sick. Our hats off to Pat Bott, who took it on the chin as his partner was a late scratch due to the sick bug. He went and played with the twosomes that was created from the drop outs and kept their score.  Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the lunch provided by Stephen Divine.  Important memo to all you; The CCGA board appreciates the support you all shown this year for this event. In having 22 members sign up, that is 43 % of our total membership which is unheard of in these types of events.  We work very hard trying to come up with a great event that everyone can enjoy and find real value for the money spent.  I must tell you the Zone is the most expensive affair the NCGA puts on and we must have continued support in the number of people participating as we did this week to continue to having this event.   We must have between 20 – 24 players to make it all work without us going into the red. Bottom line the more players the more money we have to spend. So again we thank all of you.
