2017 CCGA String and Throw
We had a great turnout for the Annual String and Throw tournament with 28 members and guests participating. New to the fold as our guests was Marc Cook and Donna Cook along with Sabrina Davis who we hope will be joining the CCGA in the near future. It was good to see some other members attend this event after a extended absents Don Fox (don’t play this man in Hearts unless you like eating the queen) and it was also nice to see Jim Lifka returning to competition. Great Job by our CCGA events chairman Kenneth Gunter and big thanks to Lee Lamp and Gene Lockwood for their help with the collection of entry fees and group pictures by Gene and to Tom Baird our 50-50 ticket sales. I want to also mention what a great job Stephen Divine did in making a very nice lunch available for all who participated. (Sorry Stephen I will try to give you more notice next time).

We collected $324.00 in entree fees. We awarded $300.00 in prize money with the CCGA getting $24.00 to put into our treasury.
